Loftia cooking guide: Cooking Station and first recipes
Build the Cooking Station at the Project Station, cook Carrot Soup for Kun, and see what the first dishes cost in crops, energy and recipe cards.
What do you need before you can cook?
A Cooking Station, a harvested crop, and enough energy for the recipe. Craft the station at your Project Station: Metal Scraps 5, Scrap Wire 5, Clay 5, with 3 energy to build. The first dish on the quest list is Carrot Soup, so plant carrots before you build.
Which quest asks for your first dish?
Kun asks for a Carrot Soup on your neighborhood island, early in the City chapter.
- Talk to Kun on your island.
- Take carrot seeds from Hazel and plant them in a garden bed.
- Water the bed, then harvest the carrots when they are ripe.
- Craft the Cooking Station at the Project Station.
- Cook the soup and hand it in through the Shipping Bin.
Metal scraps, scrap wire and clay are gathered rather than bought; crafting lists the spots, and refined materials covers the processed parts your later stations need.
What do the first recipes cost?
Level-1 and level-2 dishes cost 2 energy each, and one to three ingredients; level-3 dishes cost 3 or 4. Carrot Soup is the cheapest way to turn a crop into a saleable item: two carrots, nothing else.
| Recipe | Ingredients | Station |
|---|---|---|
| Carrot Soup | Carrot ×2 | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Tomato Soup | Tomato ×2 | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Garden Salad | Tomato, Lettuce, Carrot | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Chef Salad | Lettuce, Egg | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Creamy Summer Soup | Carrot, Tomato | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Fruit Smoothie | Wild Berries ×2, Sugar | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Carrot Cake | Carrot, Butter | Cooking Station Lv. 1 |
| Waffles | Wheat ×2, Wild Berries ×2, Butter | Cooking Station Lv. 2 |
| Coconut Water | Coconut ×2, Sugar | Cooking Station Lv. 2 |
The full list, including the egg and potato dishes, is searchable by ingredient in the recipe finder; filter by Egg or Potato to see what those ingredients go into.
How do you unlock more recipes?
Kun’s Recipe Shop sells recipe cards for Dews, and the stock widens as your quests advance. Cooking Station level 2 adds the second tier of dishes, which needs the Project Station upgraded first — the unlock order puts that tier in sequence.
Recipe cards and station levels are two different gates: a card you own still needs the station level listed beside it.
Does cooking cost energy too?
Yes — 2 energy for every level-1 and level-2 dish, and 3 or 4 at level 3. That makes cooking compete with refining and station building for the same power, so a long cooking session is a battery question rather than a farming one. Batteries and power covers the tiers.
Cooking proficiency levels with use and pays out Perk points, and Qloud describes investing those points in the activities you repeat most.
Can you ship what you cook?
Yes. Dishes go through the Shipping Bin like raw crops, and they sell for more than the ingredients cost — which is why cooking is the backbone of the Dew loop. The make money guide compares the smoothie and soup routes, and farming covers the plots that feed the kitchen.
