Loftia Demo progress carryover: what transferred
Qloud promised Demo progress and character names would carry into Early Access. Check what should transfer, how to confirm it and the Banner step.
Did Demo progress carry over to Early Access?
Qloud said it would. The October 8 post, published before launch, promised: “Your gameplay progress will carry over into Early Access!” It adds that anything you completed or collected during the Demo stays with your character when Early Access opens, and that your Loftian character name is carried over too.
Early Access opened on November 3, 2026 at 18:00 UTC. Because the promise was made before launch, the useful step now is checking your own character rather than assuming the transfer happened. The Early Access overview covers what the build contains.
What carried over, and what still needed a claim?
| Item | What the announcement says | What you do now |
|---|---|---|
| Gameplay progress | Completed quests and collected items stay with the character | Log in on the account you played the Demo with |
| Character name | The name claimed in the Demo carries into Early Access | Check the name before you create anything new |
| Demo Banner | Unlocked on first entry to the Player Neighborhood during the Demo week | Link your email in-game and claim it at loftia.gg |
The October post ties the saved reward to two steps: linking your email address and claiming the reward on the Loftia website. Unlocking the Banner in-game without the claim is not the same as saving it. The rewards guide lists the Banner next to the pre-registration cosmetics.
How do you confirm your character transferred?
Work through these in order. The first mismatch tells you where the problem is.
- Start Early Access on the same Steam account you used during October 19–26; the Demo ran through Steam Next Fest.
- Link your website account in-game using the email address you registered at loftia.gg.
- Read your character’s name.
- Open the quest log. A carried-over character should still hold the objective you stopped on, not the opening Loftia City sequence.
If the name and the objective both match, the character is the one from the Demo.
What should you check if the progress is missing?
Most misses come from account mix-ups rather than a failed transfer. Rule these out first.
- A different store account. A Demo played on one Steam account does not follow you to another purchase.
- A different website email. The link step only connects the game profile to the website account you enter.
- A second character. Check the character screen for more than one slot before you assume the transfer failed.
If none of that explains it, contact [email protected], the address on the official contact page. Include your character name, the Demo dates you played, the email on your website account and the store you bought the game from. That address is the one the developer lists for account issues.
Did the Demo Banner come across with the character?
The Banner was a participation reward from the Next Fest week, not a progression item. It unlocked when a player first entered the Player Neighborhood, which the announcement says is reachable within the first 10 minutes of the Demo. Saving it took the email link and the website claim described above.
Check your Loftia website account for the claim record. If the claim is there and the Banner is still absent in-game, treat it as a support case and include the account email.
When does a claimed name stop being yours?
The rule from the same October post: if you do not log into Early Access between November 3, 2026 and February 3, 2027, your claimed name is released for other players. Logging in is enough — the rule is written around a login, not around playtime.
As of November 4, 2026, roughly three months remain. The character-name reservation guide covers the window and the character-slot rules, and Demo and Early Access holds the account-linking steps in full.
What is new on the carried-over character?
Your character continues into the four-chapter story that runs through Loftia City, the Hanging Gardens and the Gridfall. Fishing with the Collector Rod, pets, Research Stations, Urbex and hydroponics sit on top of the Demo activities, and proficiencies go past the Demo’s level 5 cap. The Early Access overview lists the build’s contents, and the beginner guide covers what to do in the first session.
