How do you build the Carpentry Station?

Craft it at the Project Station at level 1: Screws 10 and Scrap Wood 10, with 5 energy. It is one of the four starter stations, and the one that makes furniture rather than tools.

Both materials come from your own island debris once the Hammer is working, so the station is cheap as long as you have cleared enough of the plot. The station chain is laid out in the unlock order.

What can you make there?

221 recipes over three station levels. Level 1 is where most players start: 75 pieces in four sets. Thirty-five of those need nothing but raw scrap and salvaged parts, and the rest add one or two refined materials.

Station level Recipes Sets
Carpentry Station Lv. 1 75 Basic 29, Pastel 16, Cottagecore 13, Goth 17
Carpentry Station Lv. 2 47 Bamboo 8, Coastal 14, Woodlands 14, Picket 4, single pieces
Carpentry Station Lv. 3 99 Graffiti 19, Upcycled 18, Gamer 15, Steampunk 13, Kitchen 6, bath and laundry pieces

Within a set the jobs are the same — seating, tables, storage, lighting, rugs — so you can furnish a room in one style instead of mixing. That is why picking a set first saves material: the Basic and Cottagecore couch do not use the same inputs.

Why so many level-3 pieces?

Level 3 is the appliance tier: bath and laundry fittings, kitchen units, coffee and toaster pieces, plus the Graffiti, Upcycled, Gamer and Steampunk sets. Those cost 4 to 7 energy each and lean on refined inputs, so they are a late decorating project rather than a first-week purchase.

What do the recipes actually cost?

Most pieces are Scrap Wood or Plank plus one soft material. Basic items lean on raw scrap and are the cheapest way to fill a room; Cottagecore and Pastel pieces use refined Plank, Straw, Adobe, Cotton Fabric or Mushroom Leather.

Furniture Materials Notes
Basic Bed Scrap Wood 4, Metal Scraps 4 The cheapest bed
Basic Bookshelf Scrap Wood 8, Screws 4 Storage look, not extra storage slots
Basic Couch Scrap Wood 6, Metal Scraps 4 Raw scrap build
Cottagecore Bed Plank 1, Straw 2 Needs the Refining Station
Pastel Bed Plank 2, Cotton 2 Same shape, refined inputs
Goth Bed Plank 2, Tire 4 Rubber chain

Search any piece in the recipe finder to see the full list, including the lamps and rugs. Filtering by Plank shows every refined-wood recipe at once, which is the fastest way to plan a batch.

Should you refine or build raw?

Build raw first. A Plank costs five Scrap Wood at the Refining Station and one energy, so a Plank-based couch costs five times the salvage of a Basic couch plus a craft. Refine when the piece you want only exists in a refined set, not to save space.

Refined materials are covered in refined materials, and plastic, cotton and mushroom sources are in crafting.

Does furniture count against the placement limit?

Yes. Furniture is placed like any other object, so the Building Permit from Amani’s Permits Office decides how much of it fits on your plot. Buy the permit before you build a set you cannot place; the housing guide covers the placement rules, and the make money guide explains how Dews turn into permits.

What about clothes and pet items?

They are different stations. Clothing is Tailoring Station work, covered in character customization, and the Basic Habitat for a pet is a Project Station level-2 recipe that takes Flexible Lumber 2, Resin 2 and Jute Fabric 2. See pets for the adoption side.
